25 years. 

One quarter century. One tenth of our nation's existence.

A lifetime for 100 million Americans born since that fateful day. In so many ways, we as a nation changed that day...but our gratitude to all of those who bravely ran into the towers, who stormed the cockpit of Flight 93 to prevent even more tragedy, who ran into that wing of the Pentagon remains. 

To all we lost, we mourn your passing, and we remember you fondly in the eyes of your children, in the many, many memories shared. "No day shall erase you from the memory of time." This is written in the museum at One World Trade Center, from the Roman poet Virgil. To the survivors, the first responders, the recovery crews; we are proud of you, and honor your actions and strength. 

As Scouts and Scouters, our greatest attribute is our dedication to service. And so, we ask that all do one good turn daily for another human today. Do it not for fame, for internet clout, but for the simple, honest joy of being kind to another.
