Do you know a deserving Scouter?
Established in 1931, the Silver Beaver Award is the highest award presented by Scouting America to council,
district, or unit volunteers for distinguished service to youth.
The Silver Beaver is given to those who implement the Scouting program and live its values through
community service over many years. It is given to those who do not actively seek it.
Do you know a Scouter who deserves this prestigious award?
The only way an individual may be considered is if they are nominated. To do so, simply complete the
confidential Nomination Form and submit it to Coronado Area Council at 644 S Ohio St, Salina, Kansas,
67401, or by email to kyle.smith@scouting.org. Deadline for submissions is January 23, 2026
Keep in mind that your nominee will be considered solely on the information that you provide. Make sure to
submit your nomination on the oicial nomination form, state the nominee's accomplishments clearly and
completely, and provide letters in support of your nominee if possible
Individuals are rarely selected the first time they are nominated. To avoid embarrassment and
disappointment, DO NOT inform the individual of the nomination that you are submitting.
