Good Afternoon, Coronado Area Council Leaders and Scout Parents!

Please accept this as your official invitation to join the Council Key 3 (Council President, Council Commissioner, and Scout Executive) along with members of the CAC Executive Board in a listening session and conversation about the future of the Coronado Area Council.

We are currently working on a THRIVE Plan for the council after being invited to attend a conference with 70 other local councils in similar circumstances as ours which includes financial concerns and membership loss over the last couple of years. The Executive Board has identified four focus areas we need to work on for the betterment of the council. Those four focus areas are:

Sustained Membership Growth

Fund Development- Identifying Donor Prospects

Overall Council Budget

Camp Operations Deficit

We will provide some data covering the last 5 years (2019-2024) and ask questions for your ideas on how we improve our membership, fund development and identifying donor prospects, council operating budget and three years of 6 figure budget deficit, and finally our camps operating at a budget deficit.
